About Me

I am Taiwanese-Australian, born in Taiwan but have been living in Australia for most of my life since moving here as a child. For those of you who don't know where Taiwan is, it's an little island country next to China and to the south of Japan. The Chinese language is the spoken language there, with Mandarin being used more than the Taiwanese dialect of Chinese. As for the writing system, the traditional Chinese script is used, which is slightly different to the simplified Chinese script used in China.

Since I have resided in Australia for the majority of my life, I am bilingual, being fluent in both Chinese and Australian English (for those of you who are unaware, our accent sounds different to American and British English but we still spell words the British way). In addition, I have also learnt Japanese for many years in highschool but am not as good as I used to be since I haven't touched on it since I finished school.

I have a curiosity in learning about different cultures other than my own and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds from all over the world. I have traveled throughout much of the Asia-Pacific region, and also spent some time in the United Arab Emirates twice in the past.
