Hey everyone! My name is Dan. I am a graduate student at the University of Hawaii, studying Asian religions. I am really interested in Daoism and Chinese religion. So, I am trying to learn Mandarin. I have already lived in China before. I worked as an English teacher in Shenzhen. But, I did not study Chinese at a university while I was there - only what I learned from my friends. Now, I am studying Mandarin academically so that I can eventually get my Ph.D. and become a professor of Chinese religion. I am going to Hainan this summer and then to Taibei in the fall to study Mandarin intensively. I really want to stay focused on learning the language and make alot of progress in my reading, speaking, and listening. If you are interested in helping me out, that would be awesome.
