Hi folks. I'm an American with a few friends from places like China, India, and Europe. One of my favorite things to do with my friends is talk about language differences between cultures - so this is a great place for me! I do (modestly) consider myself a fairly good user of the English language. Unfortunately, I don't speak any other languages very well, just some French, Spanish, Mandarin and a wee bit of Latin, so I'm hoping to learn a few things here. So...
