Hi. I live near Boston, Massachusetts.
I am interested in learning Mandarin because... I'm not sure why! The more I learn about the Mandarin language, the more it interests me. I have used Rosetta Stone software, some internet sites, and two books. I understand the very basics of how a sentence is formed, and have a (very) limited vocabulary. I am mostly interested in learning to start conversations with people I meet, so a very general vocabulary is what I want.

As for my English, I am a native speaker. I read a lot and have always done well in reading and writing classes. I think I have a slightly better than average vocabulary and a good understanding of proper grammar.

I am very open to helping others learn. I have worked at jobs with speakers of other languages and always enjoyed helping them improve.

Outside of language, I am a musician (piano and guitar, sometimes singing). I also enjoy making movies. also, I don't usually dress like my picture, although I do enjoy hats.
