Thank you all of you that give me the greatest advices. As each advice to me is precious, so I cannot give anyone here to be the best answer but appreciate all. 谢谢你们送给我这些宝贵的意见,咨询和指教。In fact, there is a bit different between Cantonese and Mandarin such as grammar and the characters. And you can see that the way I type here seems Mandarin but its Cantonese! lol

Start with pinyin. You should pay more attention to the pronounciation, since you already speak Cantonese.

If you don't speak any Chinese then you have to start with the pinyin and learning the Chinese writing system and how to pronounce the tones and gradually emerge from basic simple vocabulary to more intricate sentence forms ,that applies a reversed built system ( compared with English language for example). However if you spoke Cantonese ,then you are already familiar with the characters ,tones and most vocabulary is very similar, so it wouldn't be difficult to depend on yourself to learn it using several assisting tools like the ones mentioned by Eva.
