talking religions may bring something unusual...
religion is an important part of culture, no matter where. we will never know who created the world and us, maybe the god, but who created him, the god, if he was born himself at the very beginning and before that, how was the world looks like, dark and unreal? no answers.
scientists told us the cosmos born 20 billions years ago because of explosion but why did it explode? no one knows and will never know, however, religionists and theologians can explain that using their own words. we don't know the truth but we want.
religion is the source of the spirit power. when someone is hopeless, only his own god can help him, whoever he is. so there are many religions in almost every country and region.
then, the rulers use this as a tool to pacify their people so the jews found them cheated by jesus who told them that they can fly to somewhere called heaven after dead as long as they believed in the god. who knows where we will go after dead? so jesus was killed. even the god abandoned him and all that didn't believe in him. in my personal opinion, god is unkind. there are many other reasons.
in the east, chinese have their own god too who named Pangu created the world just like a titan. and Nuwa, a female god created men and women with clay.
i don't know if you know about the other religions such as Islam and Buddhism and all. i think it's good for you to learning something about them, especially the buddhism which belongs to East. you will find many thing different from the christianity and then you can take a perspective. maybe you can find the answer what you want.
god help us overcome sadness, hopelessness, pain and difficulty, he also created much art work via artists(mozart is my favorite musician). it's not important whether the god is presence or not, i think, but that we gain courage and confidence with belief.
