Bored and Boring

Hi! I'm wondering if somebody can help me with this. I don't understand the difference between 'bored' and 'boring'. Thanks!

This is not hard to answer. If I am not amused by or interested in something, I might say, "I am bored," that is, I am not interested or amused. However, if I am at a lecture and the speaker is not interesting, I might say "The speaker is boring." that is, he is causing me to become bored. I hope this helps.
