well this question could be answered by two ways...
first way just as "sun" said it is Dependant on your mode,
second way, scientifically speaking air is a medium the carries particls which stimulates the odor-senstevie cells, which means that you smell the combination of many things around you .

what i believe in is that there is a certain sbmell in the air that makes you feel at home or stress free and it is there..maybe it is a result of a thing that is out of where you live ..maybe it is afeeling ...but there is a smell in the air ..that you feel..and ..for some reason ..i smell it when the sun is not up in the sky.. :)...but I DO SMELL it :D..
