The differences preposition between "a" and "al"?

When we use this,Viaje al espanol, which means Travel all around spain!
But check out at this sentence:Este es mi primer viaje a España.
This uses "a" instead of "al",al=a el,then, why not use "el" before España?
Thank u very much!

Hello!
Only for some countries you can use optionally the articles "el" or "la".
"España" doesn't admit that use.
In the website http://buscon.rae.es/dpdI/apendices/apendice5.html you can see that countries marked with their articles between brackets.

For example in the list appears: Argentina (la), so you could say "la Argentina"

Another correct uses are:
- Nunca he estado en la Argentina / Nunca he estado en Argentina. (I have never been in Argentina)
- Viajó al (a el) Canadá / Viajó a Canadá. (He/she traveled to Canada)
- Vengo del (de el) Perú / Vengo de Perú. (I come from Peru)

I didn't understand your phrase "Viaje al español".
Maybe I could translate "Travel all around spain" as "¡Viaje por toda España!"
