Well in speical circumestances we need to lie to save the situations and not to break it more. Alot of people they dont accept the truth, they will always answer you back with "NO" !!! But if we create stories and beleive it before they do things will go well as we want it.

My self, I dont think so i like to lie. I think iam kind of an honest person.

Well, I don't agree with Sophie... telling the truth is not always the best. There are times when you simply can't tell the truth, either because you could hurt somebody, or simply because the truth would bring about much more problems, for example, when you forget a dinner with your partner because you were watching tv... I wouldn't say that!!

I recently watched a tv documentary about the nature of lies. They say that not only humans lie, but also many more living things, including plants!! could you believe that?. In the case of the plants, they try to get pollinators by offering something attractive (like pollen or honey), but when the insect approaches, the plant traps it and latter releases it (full of pollen) without any reward...

Lies are not so bad!

there r several reasons for lying; sometimes we lie to save ourselves, to be more interested, to make others happy or even to prove that we r right and and saying the truth .... etc, etc, etc.
what is important in my opinion is not to stop on the lie itself, but to understand the reason of the lie; some times we r the reason to make ppl lie to us, some times they have many other reasons.
of course i lied b4, but we always have to try not to do. i honestly believe in this quote "if a lie will save, then a truth will be safer"

For me lies reflect a problem somewhere in the liar's personnality. It's certainly inappropriate to lie because it's a kind or misleading and deceiving. Some peolpe lie because of lack of confidence in oneself, others lie to prevent something from happening and others use lies to repair and to get better some social relations. Personally, I won't lie and say I have never lied!! I used lies several times to repair a gap or a misunderstanding between some friends or relatives. I prefer telling the truth because as Wise-Dumbo said it's always safer..

People lie all the time and sometimes these are called 'white lies' because they are used to spare people's feelings. So if your friend is fat and asks you does she look fat in her new dress, you might say, oh the dress looks lovely.
