How similar are Serbian & Croatian?

How similar are Serbian & Croatian? Does it make sense for italki to combine them into one language, ie Serbo-Croatian? Would this make you upset? Or would this be better for people learning the language?

only same words are different, but usually meaning is same, and of course pronansiation and accent are completly different.Serbia and Croatia are near, we border.Regards from Serbia.
