(Olympics Related) What do you think is more important, Gold Medal or Sportsmanship?

In China, the 2008 Olympics is really the hottest topic now. Liu Xiang's quitting of the game has raised a lot of argument. Some people said that he absolutely had the right to quit if he believed that his health status was really bad. Some people blamed him for not continuing the game till the last minute.

What do you say about his quitting?

To me, I think he just has too much pressure from both the general public and those sponsors. Sometimes, extreme pressure is the propellent for success. Or vice versa.

I would say sportsmanship. the gold medal only proves how good you are physically or in the area you are tested but sportsmanship proves how good you are in dealing at what life hands you

Well, I definitely think sportsmanship is more important than the gold medal--like, did you see the lady in the marathon who shared her water bottle with someone from another country? Super cool! But, still, it is also important to take care of your health---sometimes it is better to back off than to get seriously ill or injured.

Sportmanship is better than winning a Gold Medal. Remember what happened to Ben Johnson or Marion Jones. You can win medals cheating but you cant beat your concesness cos of that you will have sleepless nights.

It's easy to say sportsmanship is more important, but when you're an athlete and are aiming for a gold medal and facing pressure from the outside, it's difficult to not think gold medal is more important.
