I prefer using this forum to ask and to answer question concerning languages
and the site itself. Maybe people won't agree with me, but that is my opinion.

Heh, maybe you expected more questions about language itself here (like grammar and stuff)

But learning a new language is not the aim (final mission), there was a statistical investigation about dialogs among people and most of the sentences we are using are referring to relationships...
love, flirt = topics about relationship, death, religion = another topic to build relationship (i can agree with you, disagree, understand you or hate you by this topics = relationship :)

So, if you are missing some non-relationship topic, we can talk about... for example about how to make a software for robots to find a shortest way out from a labyrinth or about using impedance spectroscopy on Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics :-D
I am opened to all "non-relationship" questions :)

Have fun

When I attended some express English practice course we had different subjects to talk about. Like, global warming, air polution, interesting investigations and researches, etc. It was very amusive way to practise language and I learnt much from it.
And people talk and ask about what they are interested in. These subjects that you mentioned will always be popular. It can't be helped :)
You can be first to ask about something else ;)))

Probably because, like someone else mentioned before, language is just a way to connect to people. Think about it, when you learn a language you don't do it just for the sake of learning a language. It's because you want to take away something that restricts your ability to connect to some people.

(Although I still think it's better to keep non-language related questions in other sections. However, many people here don't actually take the time to read stuff or look around so they just start posting stuff right away.)

As I remarked , People are rarely here to talk about robots or global warming ( look at the answers on such topics ), because there are lot of scientific forums and websites , but What makes people more interested is to find other people who are thinking in a different way, have a total conception for :life ,moralities ,death , religion , culture , habits , ....etc.
I'm not against such topics, but I’d like to see civilized debates, where people are sharing view points and arguments with respect and understanding. Not try only to convince others, but to see how people think, imagine, talk, react, behave, argue...etc. It's amazing, as humans we have too many common things wherever we are, we should always look at the bright side, and take profit from this diversity and break the monotony.
Thanks for you all
Peace Out ;-)
