For example some people keep choosing partners who abuse them, others lose out on promotions because they think technology is a waste of time. On a wider scale, some countries' leaders ignore the lessons of history and condemn their populations to wars, hunger, diseases & poverty.

Some people do and some people don't. If they're smart they do!

As for staying in an abusive relationship - that's a complex psychological issue, and not necessarily to do with learning from past mistakes.

World leaders - they definitely do learn from past mistakes - they learn how to make bigger and worse mistakes and don't seem to care about the populations over which they have been given the power to guide and look after.

When it comes to the natural environment I sure hope mankind has learned from his past mistakes!!!!!

Well as for me, I do learned from my mistakes each time i stumbled. I agree with malini..,World Leaders! They do learned from their mistakes and florish it to be a better and bigger mistakes the next time around.

Some pepole understand their mistakes and keep the cause and the resault of the mistake in thier mind ,but some doesn`t,and here you can judge the person while heis wisdom or not
