does anyone know what software can be use to write chinese character on computers?

I'll agree with what some others said: Google Pinyin. Windows has its own pinyin system, and at least if you have Vista there are multiple input methods (classical, something else?, and ABC among some others possibly), I think Google Pinyin is better by far.

for PC, i recommend "Google pinyin"(http://tools.google.com/pinyin/)
for Mac, "Fun Input Toy" would be the best choice(http://fit.coollittlethings.com/?page_id=3)

you can use your own operating system, like Windows XP, at first enter "Control Panel", then click on "
region and language option", then choose "language", click on "detaisl", then click on " add...", and choose "Chinese(China)" in "input language". now you can use it.
