A good way to see clearly under the water?

Do you wear your glasses or contact lenses when swimming?
My question is:
How could a person who is Very Shortsighted see clearly in the swimming pool while wearing glasses or contace lenses is not quite convenient?

Yes, definitely! You have a few options, if you're vision is bad enough to require correction. FIrst, and probably easiest is to buy swimming goggles with corrective lenses. For instance, if you're short-sighted, I've seen goggles that correct up to -8.00 diopters. You don't need to see perfectly underwater. If your glasses are normally -4.50 for example, just get the -4 or -5 goggles, and you should be ok. The other way, and the only way if you have extremely bad vision, is to buy normal swimming goggles, and wear one-day disposable soft contact lenses. This way is very comfortable, and you can see even without the goggles. But you need to get your eye doctor to prescribe the contact lenses. I wouldn't recommend non-disposable contacts because under these conditions, it may be less hygenic.
