Question about the word "Stadtplan"

I found two definition of "Stadtplan"
i) city plan; ii) city map
Referring the second definiton "city map", I wonder whether it is correct if I say "Stadtkarte" (like Weltkarte)?

Nein, man sagt nicht "Stadtkarte", man sagt ausschließlich "Stadtplan". Du kannst aber sagen "Ich habe eine Karte dieser Stadt".
