when i recite words with my "wordbook for GET" i find some english words have so many meanings that it is impossible for me to remember every meaning ,your english native know every meaning of every word?should i remember all the meanings it write?
a exemple:compound
n.1.混合物。a compound of wondrous feelings
2.be equel to compound words
3.化合物。free hydrogen from the compound
adj.1.混合的，a compound medicine
2.综合的，结合的， compound duties are a combination of specific and ad valorem duties
3.时态是复合式的
4.群体的，a cow has a compound stomach
5.used for nature life ,a compound umbel

No you do not have to remember all of them. Like in other languages, the meaning changes when talking about certain things. If you know the meaning of a word and someone uses it in a different way, just ask them to explain what the word means when they use it that way.
