Mmm, I think I am not the correct person to answer this, but as you shared this question with me, I am going to answer...
You are asking if we would like to meet our friends.. So I already met some :) Now I am student in Taiwan I met few Taiwanese friends from italki (and another website as well) and it sooo unbelievable for me that I know people from such far country and I saw them in person.
If there is a possibility it would be really stupid not to meet.
If you are on Taiwan we can meet too ;)

I know two of my italki friends meet up together. And if you really know this person then a chance to meet up would be great. But you don't know much about the member, maybe not to meet up with them in a rush. I would like to meet some of my friends offline. I have known some of my italki friends and have been in contact for more than a year.

I think it's possible. I have such an experience, but with my friends from another site. Why not to do it here? It's a question of posibility to travel and of desire to meet.

Yeah, for christmas i am planning one trip to Czech Republic. :) I know that I will visit Brazil next year and maybe visit some poeple there. :) All from italki :D
