Because it is almost Halloween! :D
October 31st of every year it is Halloween.
The kids will dress up as monsters or their favorite make believe character and go door to door saying "Trick or Treat"

People would decorate their houses with pumpkins (jack-o-lanterns), ghosts, skeletons, witches, and spider webs, as scary as possible!

Oh and when the people open the door, they would either give a Trick, or a Treat. The treats are usually candies! At the end of the day the kids would have a bag full of candy! haha This is when the parents start to worry and hopes their kids don't get sick and brush their teeth too.
