Hello Yamamoshi,
German holidays are those of the Roman calendar and the Christian liturgical year. Especially popular are Sylvester (New Year's)
Karneval or Fastnacht (Mardi Gras),
Ostern (Easter),
Himmelfahrt (Ascension Day),
Pfingsten (Pentecost),
and of course Weihnachten (Christmas).
There is no obvious resemblance between those celebrations and holidays celebrated in Asian countries such as China,Japan or Korea ,except for Christmas and New year eve as Domasla mentioned ,which are celebrated in many parts of the world.
