Would this be the correct way to write this?

lauren_lovely
Thanks for answering my other question! I informed a friend of how helpful this website was. We are doing the same project (translating a line from a song into a language of our heritage) and she also has an Italian heritage! The line she is translating is "If I had wings." She used the translator on iGoogle and it said you would write it as "se avessi le ali." Is that correct?
Again, thank you so much for your help! =]

hello,
i think is more correct writing " se avessi le ali",cherry is not wrong!however it depends on the context... for example if you have to translate only this sentence i'd write with the article "le".

Hello lauren_lovely,

"Se avessi ali"

You sentences is correct but no need to use the "le" unless you want to say literally " If I had the wings".

If I had wings, google translated into se avessi le ali in Italian. "le"is the article, if I had wings or if I had the wings, both are grammatically correct.
