Study Abroad: Where should I go?

I want to study abroad for a year in Europe and I would like to go to either Denmark (but it is very expensive); Florence, Italy; Aix-en-Provence, France or England. I would like to go to a country where the culture is very different but I am also concerned with language barriers.

Go to Hong Kong, the schools are teaching in English. So, you don't have to study hard and still easily get an "A".

Exchange Student, I recommend Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Hong Kong is a great choice as Wozitoya mentioned. I also studied abroad in HK, but at Chinese University of Hong Kong.

It depends what your purpose is, what language you want to learn, which culture you're most interested in, etc. France is a very special type of culture that you'll be more likely to enjoy if you already have interest in the language & country. Italy will take some patience as its very inefficient & bureaucratic compared to the US and will also require adjustment to 'Latin time.' Denmark would be cool and Copenhagen is beautiful. I'm not sure the UK would offer all that much to interest you, though. All the countries you mentioned are very expensive.

As mentioned all of these countries are expensive but you could get a scholarship[ look on google] or go on a Rotary exchange program where you won't have to pay for your bed and board.

I know few americans who decide to go in France to learn at the same time culture, language and Aix en Provence has a really good reputation...
So good luck!

Study in HK, money isn't the problem. The tuition and cost of living in Hong Kong is less expensive than United States. From my own experience, I sent my daughter to study abroad, her scholarships covered by Microsoft, Bill Gate. The money that was paid to the HK school is less expensive then UC Irvine. She got few hundreds refund. So she use that money to travel China, Tailand, Vietnam and Taiwan. Most of the professors at HKU of Science and Technology are from US, and UK. you woun't have any language problem.

The tutition that we paid in study aborad, we don't have to pay for the tuition for the local school. In comparision, it is not expensive, it is much cheaper. The credits that she took from that school were sent back to UCI toward her college graduation requirements.

I am a proud parent and appreciated HKUST's professors who wrote recommendation letters which help my daughter admitted to US San Diego, Pharm D. program.
