How can I easily use accent marks on my computer?

I don't usually bother to use them because I have to use character map and copy and paste each one and it takes forever! However, I have discovered that this is now affecting my learning and my understanding - I need to correct my bad habits! Is there an easy way of using the accent marks/symbols?

I am using an English keyboard in Brazil. Thank you!

Thiago - Thanks! I used the page that you sent me (wikipedia) and discovered if i use c/a/e/i/o with ALT GR i get the accents! I still can't find the c with the tail though :(

I'll suppose you're using this layout:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:KB_United_Kingdom.svg

and that UK and US International are about the same.

Microsoft says:
' + c = ç
' + a, e, i, o, u, y = á, é, í, ó, ú, ý
" + a, e, i, o, u = ä, ë, ï, ö, ü
` + a, e, i, o, u = à, è, ì, ò, ù
~ + o, n = õ, ñ
^ + a, e, i, o, u = â, ê, î, ô, û

I don't know about the other combinations... And if this really work, but give it try. =]

Para configurar (no Windows XP):
Iniciar -> Configurações -> Painel de Controle -> Data, hora, idioma e opções regionais -> Adicionar outras linguagens
agora, na aba Linguagens clique em “Detalhes” e configure assim:
Idioma de entrada:
Inglês (Estados Unidos)- pode ser que Português Brasil também funcione pra você
Layout do teclado/IME:
Inglês ( Estados Unidos - Internacional)

Vá em painel de controle e mude o layout do teclado para US-International. Mude apenas o layout, e não o modelo do teclado em si.

Com isso ele aceitará qualquer acentuação, bastando digitar o acento e na sequência digitar a letra.
