What is the difference between 时间 and 时候?

时间 是一个描述事件过程长短的类别名词. Example：“ 你需要多长时间？”

时候 这是两种常用的表达方式：
1.某事发生的时间，Example：“ 在我很小的时候...”
2.事情、过程或情况经过的时间，Example：“ 你什么时候能回家来？”

时间mean time，the definition of time is 一切宏观物质状态的变化过程都具有持续性和不可逆性，此性质是它们共同的属性，而此连续事件的度量称为时间。
时候mean fonde or moment。

“时候”是一个不能独立使用的名词（单独充当句子成分），要和其他成分（主要是动词性的）配合组成一个偏正短语，通常表达一个时间点。
“时间”是个能独立使用的名词，通常表达时间段，指称客观世界中的时间世界（一维世界），“长短”是其基本属性。
Being Chinese, we know when to use"时间" and when to use "时候",and when can use both of them.But it's hard for foreigners to distinguish them,don't worry about that.
