Meanings and use of the adverb 'anyhow'
1. In whatever way or manner; however: I'll cook it anyhow you like. They came anyhow they couldby boat, train, or plane.
2. In a careless way; haphazardly: clothes stuffed anyhow into the suitcase.

b. Nevertheless: It sounds crazy, but I believe it anyhow.

Although there are very slight differences between them, I would say that you should consider them to be the same, and use them interchangeably, especially when using them as a conjunction.

When used as an adverb, "anyhow" can mean "haphazardly", but it's almost never used that way in american english.
