Is violence ever acceptable?

No "violence" is not good.It is the impulsive unreasonable hectic response to any conflict or clash as a mean to solve it or put an end to it.
It creates a state of hate, continuous rage and call forth lots of negativity and revenge feelings. It makes no one happy ,neither the aggressor nor the victim of violence.
It is definitely not acceptable!

No its not,but if someone was attacking my children,watch how violent I am prepared to be!

It is rather self defense. Violence is an initiative action marked by force and aggression against a person who resists ( you would be resisting the attack of your children in this case) . Your activity of protecting yourself or your children is a very natural and acceptable conduct on the other hand.

It is a cancer in many societies and it is everywhere: on TV, in movies, in stadiums, in the sreets and even between the members of the same family (domestic violence).
TV tends to glamorize violence and movies legitimise and glorify it. It is gratuitious and mindless violence that has many negative effects especially on children and leads to the corruption of young people.
It's unacceptable behaviour, that's why people should be desensitised to violence on television and they should also resolve conflicts instead of resorting to violence.

Hi,everybody! violence is a negative behaviour,but it's the way weak people prefer to solve their troubles.Morever,ignorant people don't find remedy to their problems.So they have to practise violence to overcome their bad situations,but how will you explain big countries' violence against humanity and i know that everybody knows that .

No I don't think it is, as violence begets more violence in return.

why do you want violence to acceptable.

I think violence is unacceptable for human being... because we have the capacity to solve problems with "diplomacy"...
It is the big difference between humans and animals right ?
