Good books for enriching eng. vocabulary

Hi all,

I've been searching good books for enriching my English vocabulary (advanced level).
One I found maybe useful is "English Vocabulary in Use Advanced" by Michael McCarthy, from Cambridge. Does anybody know this book?

It seems this book is based on British English and that's why I have thought. I'm thinking of buying if i don't get any recommendation here.

Just to make it clear, I am searching books based on American English.
Will be very glad to hear many responses!

"English Vocabulary in Use Advanced" is useful and can help you expand and improve your vocabulary.
However, I'd like to recommend other books that can help you achieve your goal:
