Description

CHINESE COURSE FOR BEGINNERS
Text books: Our Chinese Classroom (Elementary Volumes I, 2 and 3). PDF versions of these books are available.

After completing these three elementary books, your Chinese vocabulary will consist of around 1000 words. Although you will still feel that your vocabulary is too limited to allow you express yourself really effectively, as long as you get enough practice using what you have, you’ll be ready for further study

INTERMEDIATE CHINESE COURSE
Text books: My Chinese Classroom (Intermediate Volumes I, 2 and 3). PDF versions of these books are available.
After completing these three intermediate books, your Chinese vocabulary will consist of around 2000 words. You’ll be able to read not only simple dialogues, but short essays as well. You will feel more free in your dialogues with Chinese speakers, and capable of conversing on a wide variety of topics. Most essential grammatic idioms are covered during this period – including some that many people consider difficult. But once you begin to grasp them, you’ll see an astonishing improvement in your Chinese level.

ADVANCED CHINESE COURSE
Text books: Boya Chinese Volumes 1 and 2. PDF versions of these books are available.
While Elementary and Intermediate studies focus almost exclusively on informal “oral” Chinese language, the Advanced level shifts dramatically toward more formal language. Here is where Chinese newspapers,TV news broadcasts, and the language of business negotiations become accessible.
