How do you set your keyboard to type accented letters

Hi, I'm currently learning Spanish and I don't know how to configure my laptop to type á, é, í, ó, ú, ü, ñ, ¿, ¡)

I tried switching the language on the keyboard over but it keeps switching itself back to the standard English.

Any help would be appreciated

I've never experienced that problem. I chose "Spanish (Spain, International Sort)" in the change keyboards section. All I have to hit is the apostrophe key and then the vowel. Try removing it and adding it again, or just a different Spanish keyboard.
