Could you explain about the differences among these?

Thanks!

You apply to someone for something.

For example, you can apply to a college for a place on a course.

You can apply to a company for a job.

'Apply' followed by 'with' is not usual.

Thank you for all.

Hello Tulum!

"Apply" has a couple of different meanings, but I believe you are using it for "request" or "submit an application."

Apply for means you have made a request for something, such as I applied for a passport. You are looking for something.

Apply to means you have made a request to someone or something, such as I applied to the university. You are requesting something from someone else.

Apply with isn't as common, the other two forms are the most used, but "apply with" could be used if you used something or someone to help in making your request, such as I applied with an email for the job opening or I applied with the volunteers to clean up the road. It could also be used in place of "apply to" if you made a request to a group or institution, such as He applied with the Red Cross to become a volunteer.

Does that help?
