My recommends:

This film that is set in Helsinki. One Japanese woman start to open the Japanese restaurant with her friends. It's really beautiful movie. You can learn natural Japanese conversation and Japanese foods.

2."ホノカアボーイ"(https://youtu.be/vh46w67nn4g)

This film that is set in Hawaii.The story of Japanese and Japanese-American.

It's reallyrelaxed film.

3."レンタネコ"(http://www.vap.co.jp/rentaneko-movie/)

A Japanese woman rent a cat. It's a unique film.

You can learn Japanese old-fashioned house and life.

The hero is Japanese geek!　It became a fad 4years ago. It was made the comic into a drama and a movie.

There are a lot of J-POP music and you can learn easily Japanese younger generation's real life.

I forgot, there's a movie called "NANA" from 2005, I found this one quite enjoyable. Or maybe I'm a sucker for Yuna Ito.

Oh, I forgot to recommend this romantic drama!! 

"ロングバケーション" (1996)

This drama is very famous one in Japan. Most of us know this.

They have overly romantic movies!! Get ready to cry!

My top three:

   This is my favorite! It's about a Korean boy who comes to Japan to stay with his father and meets a Japanese girl who he falls in love with. He knows only Korean and she knows only Japanese but they still want to be together and even start learning each others language.

• Taiyou no Uta https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_Sun_(2006_film)

There's a few i could recommend that have romance in or is the main plot point, though more for dramas than films.
