Thanksgiving Day or Thanksgiving Day?

Hello. It is well known today is a special day for American and European. But i have a question about it, should i say Thanksgiving Day or thanksgiven Day? And why? Thanks so much.

Normally just called Thanksgiving, but it would not be incorrect to say Thanksgiving Day.

 

It is a purely American holiday, although Canada has their own on a different date, it is not celebrated in Europe, and if it is anyplace, it is for different reasons.

It's just called "Thanksgiving". Keep in mind that it celebrates the arrival of the British pilgrims in North America, so you won't find many people in Europe celebrating it.
