Here are some tips i learned myself...

I learned a few remember skills I always use when i want to study.
I copy things over and over on a sheet of paper or typing it.

For instance...

I want to remember " Chao" which means Hello in vietnamese
I would write or type "Chao" about 50 times or less, so it would stick like glue in my mind.

It's always great to make study notes and practice.
