How to pronounce eu, ea, el, este, eşti, etc in Romanian?

Salut,

I am a beginner in Romanian language. I know that Romanian is a phonetic language. But I am confused about how to pronounce eu, ea, el, este, eşti, etc... in Romanian. Should I pronounce them like yeu, yea, yel, yeste, yeshti, etc ... or should I pronounce them like the way they're written? I have listened to both of the pronunciations. Why do some Romanian pronounce them in one way, and some other in another way? But the most important question is: which way is the right one?

I presume you're talking about the initial i some romanians add in front of the e at the beginning of the word. Those i's are specific to Moldavia, the region in the north east(they kind of tend to replace most of the e's with i's :D).

Literally speaking the corect form is the written one, however it's not wrong to pronounce the i in front of the e.

Most romanians pronounce them like that >>>> "yeu, yea, yel, yeste, yeshti, etc" and these are the only exceptions in this issue. It is true that some romanians "pronounce them like the way they're written" but that's really exaggerated.
