angle saxons were a germanic tribe from the ancient age, in roman times, which conquered what is nowadays Britain.

The name "england" comes from what the ancient nations used to call that region "angle-land"....

The angle saxons settled in the southeast part of britain, and came from what is now netherlands/west germany

I just made a short summary, of course it has a lot more involved... I study history, and germanic and eastern european history, at least for me, is soooo cool xD
