How long is the Rhine river in Germany?

I think I read recently, that it is about 1200km long.
Apparently some mistake slipped in many years ago where someone witched two digits and as a result the river was shown as 100km longer than it really is.

1230km
It is listed in many reference books as 1320km, but in early 2010 this was discovered to be a mistake.
