We are, nowadays, living in a global village. A world without borders.  Everybody knows what is happening everywhere. The internet, TV, radio are a a reality. An international language is becoming stronger and stronger. People are not, only, anymore, interested in their own culture. We want to know about other cultures. Many countries and cities have immigrants from all parts of the world. London, New York, Toronto, São Paulo are examples of this melting pot.  Italki is, in also some way, another example.   In that new context, it is natural that local and national culture gives space to an international culture and little by little the old ways of life as well local customs and habits are going to disappear.

(If you have some tips about my mistakes in English, please feel tell me. I speak English as a second language and i am still learning. Thanks, in advance)

You have good point.Because of the
Globalization appears, people have many choses. They are  Grass is always greener.Local culture don't get more attention as before.Unfortunately, culture is non-renewable.I hope people take care of their culture like a baby. You know ,when people lost their culture ,they will find that just like a tree which is lost root.

I think that we live in a "globalitarism (globalization + autoritarism)" process. The ocident, since XVI have a project to domain the world. Currently This project don´t only the war, but the culture power and simbolic domination. It´s a great sin don´t follow the ideals of democracy... but what democracy? The democracy of capitalism?
The globalization is a interesting thing, after all, is a great thing we can meet many cultures and diferent people, respect the diferences, acept the specif caracteristics of places... but this stay only in the discourse camp. The aplications of globalizations is open new markets and democracy systems without people participation.
