I'm the beginner and I didn't understand the alphabets.Which alphabet is general?Which alfhabet to use where?I didn't understand.I can't find Kanji letters and Kanji -Katanaka are same or not?I can't solve help please!

I´m too a beginner, but I can tell you :

the best is you learn the two alfhabets (hiragana, katakana) and kanjis (but first hiragana, katakana because the kanjis are so difficult.

The three are diferent , and have diferent use.

-Hiragana is more common use this in japan, but sometimes are mixed whith kanjis

-Katakana used for words of foreign origin.

-Kanjis are symbols that exprese a thing or very differents thing.

But is common to see the three mixed, but the best is to learn the three.

I'm a beginner at Japanese but I've mastered Hiragana (except for one itsy little character-- see my home page), and I'm learning Katakana.

I can't speak a lick of it though, but I'm also hoping that I might be able to pick up something by constant contact-- I listen to a lot of tapes. I wouldn't mind a helper in grammar and sentence structure.

I started to understand Japanese alphabets and Japanese songs really help me to practice and learning vocabulary.I think I'm going to start Japanese course soon.I try to learn Hiragana (writing) and I'm really happy that I've started to read words written in Hiragana ^_^
