Will i be able to make more friends in Turkey?

Hello everyone ... I am Roswan and i am calling from Kuala Lumpur the capital city of Malaysia. I am very excited yet nervous as i will be in Turkey this December and this is in fact my first time traveling alone. I don't really know what is actually going on in italki apart from learning the unique Turkish language.... anything else is comming really slow for me like making friends in here and keeping in touch with them ....

I hope to make friends in here and eventually anyone of you can show me around when i am there in Turkey, otherwise i was wondering if i can make friends when i am there .... please help me and hope that you can give me some tips on getting around the city of Istanbul as well as making friends. What are the first apporach of making friends and how would i know if that person can really be trusted ( apart from trusting my instics) ....
plese help me and provide me with some tips and also advice.
