Italian Name
What means of a name which add the word "Fu" before it?
E.g. Theodore J. Bartolomei figlio Fu James Bartolomei.
Theodore J. Bartolomei is the father name and James Bartolomei is the son name.
But what means of the FU? should it be as a prefix?
Any Itanlian know this, please tell me the detail.
thanks

"FU" before a name of person means that persons is dead. For example "Il fu Mario Rossi" it means that Mario Rossi who are talking about is dead. Probably your sentence is: "Theodore J. Bartolomei figlio DEL FU James Bartolomei" that it means Theodore J. Bartolome is the son of James Bartolomei and James Bartolomei now is dead.
