Do you live alone? Does this question mean something else?

我觉得Tony说得对。那些男人是间接地问“你有对象吗？” 我觉得这句话有没有什么另外的暗示就看这个男人的目的是什么。你的间接的回答是好的。

I often wonder the same and I find it strange too. What if I'm living alone, then? Is it weird? Or do you want to occupy my home?!

The question is a normal one, but it is often asked with a very strong and peculiar interest. It seems as if people couldn't understand the possibility of living alone.
