How to become a teacher?

Speaking a language and teaching others to speak that language are vastly different.  How you become a teacher is the same as how you become anything else.  How did Brazil win so many World Cups?  You have a passion and a fire inside of you, that's how.  Teaching is the same as any other craft, it requires study and practice; it has an additional aspect of working directly with students.  That is like walking on the sun.  Good luck!

Hi, there are loads on online TEFL courses and they are fairly inexpensive.  They will teach you the basics of how to hold an English class.  I did a 40 hour online certificate and found it gave me enough confidence to start teaching on italki.  I have kept my prices quite low and not taken on many students until my teaching skills are up to scratch and I always spend a few minutes at the end of the lesson getting feedback from my students about the lesson and what they found most useful.  I guess it is a learning process for the teacher as much as the student.

There are some courses which teach you to be an online teacher but most are designed for people who will be taking classes of students face to face.  There are even CELTA courses which you can do entirely online and even do your teaching practice online too.  You can google them!
