✎ A Poem by Alyona ✐

Hi everyone :) I wrote this poem in my notebook entry ( http://www.italki.com/notebook/entry/196774.htm ), but then I have seen this group and decided to join and post it here, too. This poem was inspired by the music of Hans Zimmer. He is a film composer. I think, his music is sensual and powerful, calming and exciting.

I beg your pardon if I have ruined the word order or sentence stucture. It is hard to keep a rhythm following grammar at the same time. But I will be glad to get any comments and corrections. It's also interesting to know your opinion on this poem :)

* * *
I saw you closed your eyes and started dreaming,
You flew to kingdoms far away from our bustling world.
And for the magic places leaving,
You went away, your paths were curled.

There weren't those borders and those walls
You were restrained by being here,
And there weren't those who turned out false
And who have never been sincere.

I couldn't dare to break into your world, your Eden
Where everything is innocent and pure.
When everything what always was just hidden,
Here it's inside out but secure.

This silence and peace - they no longer exist.
Now, crazy adventures are waiting for you,
And blood runs in vains like a wild angry beast.
So, let's hit the road with the bright glow of dew!

And after trips which took you there
Where miracles are possible and true,
You sit under the tree of dreams, and wisdom's glare
Gives you a key, gives you a precious clue.

You hear the sound at the beginning
It's just unclear, it's new and weak.
It even seems to be deceiving,
Non-obvious, just like a summer creek.

This sound is getting louder, stronger.
You shape it, and your creek becomes a sea.
You cannot hide this any longer,
You gift your private world to me.
_____________

This is my message to you, reader:
Forget who you pretend to be.
And don't be looking for a leader.
It is inside of you. You'll see.

Thank you for your attention :)

Welcome!  Music is a great source of poetry inspiration.  When I have the time, I shall too dig up some of my English poems :)

I hope that you don't feel left out with all these Chinese floating around :)  I thank you for joining us and contribution; to share your thoughts and feelings.

I don't feel left out, thanks :D I wonder if there are any mistakes in this poem.

Is it possible to add some pictures? I tried, but I have no idea how to do this.

I look forward to reading your poems :)
