Are American English different from British and which are the best in the learning

American and British English are different in many ways including spelling and pronounciation. In addition each has many local dialects that are distinctly different from the mainstream of each type.
If you are doing the TOEFL test, concentrate on American English. If you can type quickly so TOEFL test is less interactive than IELTS.
It really depends on your aim, if you intend to go to the US, concentrate on American English.
Look at some of my notebook entries for videos on the pronounciation of different dialects.
I like British English. I like BBC (news on BBC, tv serials of BBC and so on).
Thank you for this information
I'll say the best is American English....
http://americanenglish.state.gov/resources/raggedy-ann-stories
Raggedy Ann Stories, abridged and adapted from the original, contains 13 short stories about the classic rag doll and her friends. The text is accompanied by the original illustrations, a picture glossary, and questions to aid comprehension. The language has been simplified for high-beginning level English language learners (with vocabulary at the first 1000-word level) and is appropriate for young learners.
Thanks I'll share it for the benefit
I think British English is the best.
There is not much real difference between them in words. Even on pronunciation the variation between speakers within the UK and US can be greater than the variation between the countries.
English speakers can handle both - you just have to decide on spelling and American is easier to spell.
Are American English different from British and which are the best in the learning
Better is:
Is American English different from British English and which is the best to learn?
british english is the original english but after the Americans got their independence they changed many spellings according to the way they r pronunced n they have a different accent also.
but it doesn't matter much even if u use half American english words n half british then also its fine as both r equally acceptable in todays world...
