What's your opinion about confidante or male confidant?

I have a business partner of the opposite gender. I sometimes spend more time with her than I do with my wife. We all know each other and get along. We sometimes are amused by the way some people think misinterpret our relationship. When the work is doneWendy partner and I go our separate ways for the day. 

I have a male confidant, we can talk anything.  When I have a quarrel with my boyfriend, I would tell him and he manages to cheer me up.  We have so many common interests that I often forget the time when I was chatting with him.

 I think that having a confidante is a wonderful idea.
