For those who are learning Chinese, why do you think Chinese culture is attractive?

well, i'm in the last year of high school, in october my school proposed a course of chinese, i wasn't sure at the beginning but then i  fell in love with this language, well it's complicated and sometimes it's like i'm going crazy but i think it's worth for it.. and also, china is a really big country with ancient traditions and different aspects.. it's fascinating ;)

I've had a few good friends from work who were Chinese and they were showing me different things about the culture that I thought were interesting. Philosophy, pop culture and history are among what's interesting, being a really old place with a lot of people (main land anyways). On the more superficial side, there will be more work opportunities available if I can at least read chinese as China makes deals with the Carribean and other nations in the Americas. If I am able to read and write, I can follow the movies I love better an read what was truely indended by different authors in addition to negotiations for products from tech centers (Tiawan fo example). All in all there are more reasons for me to learn it than not,...

So, I was  3 years elemetery school student, when i first realised that china is so attractive country whit so interesting culture and rich history/ so for 7 years i have been studing a bit about china. But after entering university i have disided to study chinese, however my parentse was againts it. so now i am studyng chinese for 2 and half years. hope to understand china and chinese people better by studying language

Hi ! My name is Sofía, I'm from Argentina, Rosario city.

One of the reasons for which I decides to learn Chinese is because I wanted a challenge.

I'm studying the language in the university, next month I begin my second year. Previously I studied History ( also in the university ) and I believe that the Chinese culture and history are very interesting. It's a people with great diversity, thousands of years of traditions, philosophy and arts.

I really like Chinese writing too.

I tried to learn Spanish like one years ago, because Spanish speackers are very passionate but I found it impossible for me to pronounce that R...So I gave up.

因为李白,雷锋,赵一曼,尧帝,王洛宾,成龙,李小龙,赵本山,二人转,京剧,中国民族,兵马俑,丝绸之路,故宫,天安门,红楼梦,水浒传,三国演义,西游记,鱼香肉丝,饺子,包子,白酒,哈尔滨啤酒,毛豆,麻婆豆腐,麻辣烫,烧烤,春节,端午节,中秋节,月饼,嫦娥,玉兔,屈原....原因很多.

但是最重要的原因是6岁的我在图书馆的时候看过一本中文书.那本书的画好漂亮.书的封面有一匹白色的马,一个男人穿意思的帽子,一个有胡子的男人,一头很胖的猪,一只很厉害的猴子.

By the way, I think the book you read is 西游记 Journey to the West, and these people are 白龙马（the white horse）,唐僧（the monk), 沙僧， 猪八戒（the monk pig），孙悟空(Monkey King). Yes, almost evey children in China know about that fictional story and read that picture book:)

Can you also share me the reason why you choose to stay China??

之所以我学中文是因为六年以前我和我老婆领养一个在中国出生的小孩子了。 在那以后我们对中国文化感兴趣。2010我家人一起在北京呆了三个月。自从我和我女儿都一直学中文。我觉得中国历史和文化都很有意思。还有我喜欢功夫片。明白了吗？
