Why in the U.S do they drink milk with their lunch and dinner?

Why in Spain you guys run in front of the bulls ?

Parts of America have a lot of pasture and we keep many dairy cows. Additionally, the dairy industry in the United States is very powerful, and in the past they have run extensive advertisement campaigns focusing on the health benefits of milk. My personal feeling is that the dairy that comes from the larger factory farms is produced in a very irresponsible way and is unhealthy. However, it is part of our culture to consume a lot of dairy products and I do enjoy milk very much (I am careful about where I buy it).

I believe it's simply because we like it. However, I know many people that don't like to drink milk. But as for me, I love milk. Unfortunately, though, our dairy is much too processed (unreal/non-organic), and therefore I do not consume a lot of milk. When I do consume milk, it is organic. In the U.S., most people consume milk from cows, not goats.

They also drink milk with breakfast. Believe it or not!

We see very rare drink out of breakfast or afternoon snack (here "merienda") and this is more rare meat, fish or vegetables accompanied. I guess there still is a cultural fact.

Concerning bulls, here this is a bravery fact. These guys represent the medieval origins of grazing, so they moved the cattle formerly.

I think you'd better write it in this way: "why do people in the US/Americans drink milk with their lunch or dinner?"

my reply: I have no clue and I didn't even know it:)

I'm not quite sure how it became such a staple in a lot of parts, but personally, I love me some milk. It goes great with everything!

Never had a taste for milk, myself. On the other hand, I drink coffee for all three meals.

I drink milk at breakfast because I don't like coffee Innocent

As you would imagine, many of the US habbits are regional. In my family, milk is usually available with hot/cold cereal or in milk/tea. Even then it is usually only at breakfast. The rest of the meals would have juice, coffee, tea, beer or wine.
