What can we do to protect our enviroment?

I read an article about Earth Day.
In nowadays, most of people are trying their best to protect our environment.
And I think two things I can do to protect our earth and environment,
that is, recycling and take mass transportation.

I wonder what else I or you can do to protect the environment we live in?
