Me ajuda,por favor.Obrigado!
Hello, everyone.I'm learning portuguese with ROSSETA STONE V 3.0.35.I have some questions to ask you.
1. A garçonete está respondendo a uma pergunda.
I don't know if the sentence is right. I think the "a"should be"à".
2.Esse edifíco fica em Nova Lorque.
Esse edifício fica em Barcelona.
Esse edifício fica na Austrária.
I don't tell the difference between "em" and "na".
Me ajuda,por favor.Obrigado!

Sabia que tinha respondido... mas em outro fórum.. de qualquer forma, vou repetir aqui! :)
Desculpe-me o meu inglês. Mas você pode corrigí-lo também
The rule to use the "crase (à)" more cheap is.
Change the
feminine noun
by the masculine noum, when the verb is intransitive. There is, you need to put the conective "a" after the verb, for the
specific noun
.

For exemple:
"Eu fui ao jogo de futebol"
"Eu fui à casa de Mariana"
In these case, the verb "ir" in the past tense (Eu fui, tu fostes, ele foi, ...) is a intransitive verb.
But if you use a indefinite article (um, uma, uns, umas - in English the article a, an), the "crase (à)" isn't use.

by the way, the verb "responder" is a direct and indiretc verb. The sentences are possible:
"a garçonete está respondendo a pergunta"
"a garçonete está respondendo a uma pergunta"
"a garçonete está respondendo ao João"
"a garçonete está respondendo ao Joào uma pergunta"
"a garçonete está respondendo uma pergunta ao João"
"a garçonete está respondendo À Maria (feminine noum)
"a garçonete está respondedo À Maria uma pergunta"
"a garçonete está respondendo uma pergunta À Maria"

But, in talking language, is usual to say only
"a garçonete está respondendo!" because, if you answer, you naturally answer a question.
